Johns Hopkins University Financial Aid for International Students.

Johns Hopkins is committed to enrolling the most talented students from all backgrounds, regardless of their families’ financial circumstances. We are need-blind for U.S. citizens and permanent residents, and offer financial aid packages that meet 100% of need and do not include student loans.
This institutional scholarship is offered on a funds-available basis to incoming international students who demonstrate both need and merit. Awards are renewable for up to a total of 8 semesters contingent upon full-time enrollment and maintaining satisfactory academic progress.

Financial aid appeal process

If financial circumstances are affecting your ability to attend Johns Hopkins, we would like to have the opportunity to reconsider your eligibility for financial aid. Our goal is to offer you the best possible financial aid package based on your family’s current financial situation within the parameters of existing policies, federal regulations and the availability of funds.
An increase in aid is most often the result of financial circumstances that have changed or that we did not know about at the time of your original application. Examples include loss of income, unexpected medical expenses not covered by insurance, and other unusual life events that affect your family’s ability to pay for college.
To submit an appeal, complete and sign our form, then submit alongside relevant supporting documentation directly to our office using the upload tool below. Be sure to include the student’s full name and date of birth in the description, and on all pages of the materials you submit. Financial aid will review and respond to appeals as quickly as possible.
Admitted students who submit a 2019-20 appeal on or before April 17 will receive a response from our office no later than April 24. Returning undergraduate students who submit a 2019-20 appeal by June 30 will receive a response by July 15. Please contact our office with any questions or concerns.
